Scuba diving in Skiathos, Greece

Since October 2005 diving in Greece has been free from restrictions which means you can now enjoy many more sites around the island of Skiathos, with its unique beauty of underwater life in the Aegean Sea. The crystal clear waters offer visibility of 20-25 metres and temperatures of 20-26 degrees C, ideal conditions for both scuba diving and snorkeling. Diving has become very popular of late and there are a few PADI diving schools for both beginners and the more experienced. All equipment for scuba diving is provided if needed and you can choose from reef or cave dives, wreck dives, night-dives and many more. There are a couple of diving shops in town offering all sorts of equipment including masks and snorkels, ideal for exploring the marine life and seabed at your own leisure from any of the beautiful beaches.
